'Certified Leadership Coach' (CLC) designation completion requirements:
Option One: In-Person Classroom Learning
The following modules are required:
Module One: Ignite: Leadership Coaching (ICF Coach Specific Training – 23 Hours)
In this two-day workshop participants learn essential skills for coaching leaders and a coach approach to leadership. During the workshop participants explore the meaning of leadership and its link to coaching, develop coaching skills in practice sessions, receive feedback from peers and build their vision for leadership. This is a highly interactive course with a range of practical exercises before, during and after the workshop, including 4 hours of follow-on teleclasses. Delivery is balanced between theory, coaching demonstrations, practice, discussion, review, and learning.
Module Two: Developing Leadership Coaching (ICF Coach Specific Training – 36 Hours)
In this three-day workshop participants learn the impact and role of values within the leadership coaching process and explore the ties between emotional intelligence, coaching and effective leadership. This is a highly interactive course with a range of practical exercises before, during and after the workshop, including 4 hours of follow-on group mentor coaching teleclasses and 4 hours of mentor coaching with supervision. Delivery is balanced between theory; coaching demonstrations; practice; discussion, review, and learning.
Module Three: Advanced Leadership Coaching (ICF Coach Specific Training – 38 Hours)
In this three-day workshop participants further develop their effectiveness within both formal and informal coaching situations and increase their level of coaching performance against ICF core competencies. This is a highly interactive course with a range of practical exercises before, during and after the workshop, including 6 hours of mentor coaching with supervision. Delivery is balanced between theory, coaching demonstrations, practice, discussion, review and learning.
Option Two: Virtual Classroom Learning
Virtual Certified Leadership Coach Programme (ICF Coach Specific Training - 97.5 Hours)
* Integrated offering of in-person Modules 1 to 3 above.
In this virtual learning course participants complete 8 modular learning units for a total of 97.5 coach specific trainig hours. Participants learn the impact and role of values within the leadership coaching process and explore the ties between emotional intelligence, coaching and effective leadership. Participants further develop their effectiveness within both formal and informal coaching situations and increase their level of coaching performance against ICF core competencies. This is a highly interactive learning experience with a range of practical exercises before, during and after the sessions, including 4 hours of follow-on group mentor coaching teleclasses and 10 hours of mentor coaching supervision. Delivery is balanced between theory; coaching demonstrations; practice; discussion, review, and learning.
Option Three: Hybrid In-Person & Virtual Learning
Participants may choose to do a mixture of in-person and virtual modules. For example the Ignite course may be completed in person and the balance of the programme virtually.
